Но изначально в английском слово означало: неудачник, растяпа, дилетант, а также... таксист (карьеру таксиста там к удачливым тоже не относят). В компьютерных делах это слово применяется давно, и изначально - без привычного нам негативного оттенка. Просто - энтузиаст-программист.Hack (honky) — на тюремном жаргоне и эбониксе - белый человек. Этимология сложная. Hack пошло от любви тюремной охраны подраться, а honky - от любви восточноевропейских эмигрантов покричать.
